NATO and Blinken and Russia, and More on the Second Assassination Attempt

The US (Blinken) and NATO are threatening to target their weapons deep into Russia. Russia is reminding the world that this means war and war would be a potentially devastating outcome. There are no adults in charge in the West, so this is an all-too-real possibility. And more on the Trump shooter. Not that one, the new one.

While at the Peak Prosperity Summit in NH this weekend, the US (via Blinken) and NATO made noises about ‘allowing Ukraine’ to use NATO-supplied long-range missiles to strike deep in Russia.

Putin immediately gave an interview where he reminded the world that there’s no such thing as ‘Ukraine doing that on its own.’  He mentioned the use of NATO weapons would be involved.  And NATO satellites.  And NATO targeting programming.  The fact that it was technically, perhaps, a Ukranian that pushed the finally launch button is 100% irrelevant.

He then went on to observe that if this happens, then Russia will be at war with NATO.  The Russian ambassador to the UN then said the same thing.  Then Putin reminded everyone that while NATO was militarily superior to Russia, as makes sense when one outspends their opponent by a factor of 15x – 20x and has a population that is 4x larger, that Russia is a nuclear superpower and that regret can emerge in ‘the blink of an eye.’

So we’re keeping a close eye on that situation, obviously.

Then, just to keep things spicy, the US deep state managed to goad another US citizen into another attempt on Trump’s life.  This one didn’t begin or end with bullets flying toward Trump as the threat was detected early and shots were first fired at the potential assailant.
