I'm coworking. I love my coworkers. I love “going into the office.” I love what I do. It's a strange thing for me to be writing because I don't have a “real job;” I got laid off from my “real job” two years ago. And, like many people, I haven't been able to find a “real job” since. So, like many people, I have carved out my own niche and grabbed opportunites when they appear. I adapted to the new realities of the world. Part of that new reality is a fabulous coworking community called Sierra Commons. They support my work. And, much to my own surprise, I have found work that I love.

There is no such thing as infinite growth on a finite planet.

I'm not sure who uttered the phrase first. I have heard the phrase many times since I got hip to the truth about Peak Oil and the predicaments we face with a decline in energy availability and resources. Throughout my journey of discovery and my quest for information and insight, I have been exposed to various books, articles, and movies that have changed my perspective about the world we live in. Though I am a big consumer of the written word, movies and media have had a great impact on my exposure to various ideas and issues and have also helped me introduce these realities to family and loved ones. 

Below we will explore a sampling of movies and presentations that have been a guide for me as I traveled "down the rabbit hole."  Time to take another "red pill" and see just how far that rabbit hole goes.

We hit 108°F this week in the Sierra Foot Hills of California.  It's too hot to do much of anything, but it is definitely too hot to cook in the house.  We have used our sun oven all summer, but this week we were particularly thankful to have an outdoor cooking apparatus, something that requires no electricity, charcoal, or propane.

The following recipes are fool-proof, easy, and reliable recipes for cooking in your sun-oven.  You don't have to own a sun oven or solar cooker to use these recipes; you can easily use these recipes in your electric or gas oven as well.  However, I highly recommend a sun oven.  They are efficient, easy to use, and help to keep the heat outside on hot summer days.

The garden beds are dug.  The soil has be amended with organic compost and natural fertilizers.  Plants are in and starting to grow.  All they need is the warming rays of the sun and plenty of water.  Ensuring that my plants get enough water while being mindful of water usage in now my main priority.  It is time to install a drip irrigation system for the first time.

Just got my result that I’m C19 positive.
I work at a mining camp in northern BC where I shared a bathroom with a guy (double injected) that was coughing for days and then tested positive. They got me to do a rapid test which was negative but I was feeling OK at that time.
