The Biden debacle at the debate has revealed something to me that is both disorienting and deeply worrying. Namely that even with Biden’s disqualifying infirmities in plain view, many are still of the view that he’s their preferred presidential choice.
Biden’s performance at the NATO summit was a clear continuation of the disaster. He called Zelensky Putin, he confused Trump with his VP, and he said he was just following the advice of his commander-in-chief when that’s actually his title.
Add it all up and he’s having difficulty with names, titles, and dates. Pretty typical for a person suffering from step mental deterioration which, by the way, will only accelerate from here.
Despite all that, many people saw it completely differently, describing his performance at NATO as ‘commanding’ and that he ‘did a great job.’
Which means the distance between the groups of people out there is getting wider, a precursor to civil war and lesser forms of social decay.
As you know, I think we got here because Covid broke something or, more accurately, the weapons of cognitive warfare that were trotted out for Covid did far more profound damage than most appreciate.
Whether or not that hypothesis will prove out, the fact pattern is this; there are people in the White House who conspired to hide Biden’s decline even from other White House staff, and those same people them seized power and decision-making authority for themselves.
Some people are okay with that. I am not.
Worst of all, these same people are the ones who forced the jab mandate holy shots on everyone, who are promoting child-destructive gender policies down everyone’s throats, who want us to have wide-open borders, and who are hankering to kick the war with Russia into a higher gear.
I have nothing in common with those people anymore. The camps are forming. It’s a spiritual battle as much as a practical tug-of-war between abstractionists and common sense.
My biggest worry at present is about how the US lacks leadership and vision at a time when NATO is angling to goad Russia into responding in a way that will allow NATO to justify a direct war with Russia.
This will be a monumentally bad idea that, if allowed to come to fruition, will offer everyone a gigantic moment of future regret as we look back on our lives today with envy and longing.
That’s what we’ll be exploring and discussing in the longer version for subscribers
